Avsalt appoints Thomas Bengtsson as new Chairman of the Board
Avsalt welcomes Thomas Bengtsson to the Board of Directors and appoints him new Chairman of the Board. Thomas is a cleantech entrepreneur and investor with broad experience of governing growth companies, following positions at both investment-fund level, for Industrifonden, and company level as CoB at Nasdaq First North listed companies. He succeeds co-founder Mohamad Takwa, who has held the position since 2019.
“Access to clean water is a continuous concern, while desalination requires enormous amounts of energy that is expensive and environmentally consuming. Avsalt has an exciting technology to clean water cost- and energy-efficiently. I am thrilled to become part of the Board of Directors and contribute to Avsalt’s plans forward.” says Thomas Bengtsson.
Thomas Bengtsson also has experience from supporting growth companies in a CFO position and working for the European Commissions in Brussels. On June 16, he joined Avsalt and the company’s mission to commercialize Avsalts’s novel water desalination technology.
